Who we are
We are a collective of seasoned M&A professionals and academic researchers united by a single goal: to elevate the practice and study of operational excellence in mergers and acquisitions.
Our interdisciplinary team brings decades of hands-on dealmaking experience and rigorous scholarly insight to every issue.
We believe in a peer-review process that upholds the highest standards of quality and integrity. Our motto, **Efficiency**, ensures that your work reaches the world without unnecessary delays. We release one volume per year, but we make each issue available as soon as it has been peer reviewed.
As an independent journal, our focus is twofold:
For our audience: Deliver precise, reliable, and actionable insights that improve the odds of M&A success.
For our authors: Offer a streamlined publication pathway, free from the hurdles of protracted review cycles, so your research and case studies can have a greater impact sooner.

Message from the Chief Editor
As Chief Editor, I am pleased to share my passion for Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, and organisational performance. With more than 27 years of experience in the energy industry, I have had the privilege of working across a wide range of operational, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and leadership roles, helping organisations improve performance, reliability, safety, and culture.
My professional and academic journey has been shaped by a commitment to making Operational Excellence practical, relevant, and accessible. I hold a Doctorate in Operational Excellence from the University of Buckingham, where my research focused on developing adaptable approaches that organisations of all sizes can use to achieve sustainable growth and lasting improvement.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with Lean, Six Sigma, quality management systems, and organisational excellence frameworks. I am particularly interested in translating complex management concepts into simple, practical solutions that create measurable value and foster cultures of learning and excellence.
A significant part of my career was spent with Schlumberger, where I was honoured to receive the CI Master recognition for contributions to strategic planning, business improvement, and the deployment of large-scale continuous improvement initiatives.
Through this journal, my goal is to support leaders, practitioners, and organisations in moving beyond compliance-driven and tool-focused approaches toward a more human-centred, value-focused understanding of excellence. I hope the insights shared here inspire new thinking, practical action, and meaningful organisational transformation.
