ABSTRACT
This paper discusses the challenges of implementing multiple management systems and programs governed separately. It offers insights into overcoming these challenges, emphasising the importance of strategic alliances to achieve win-win solutions. The paper also presents various viable options for addressing these challenges while ensuring the integrity of the system requirements. The study is based on action research conducted at a large oil and gas corporation (Corp A), utilising qualitative data gathered through observations, workshops, site visits, and an extensive collection of governance documents related to the management systems within the company. The paper proposes a collaborative model that Corp A can adopt to leverage the strengths of its existing management systems and corporate entities. Finally, with the rapid advancement of automation and digitalisation, traditional methods such as physical data collection, face-to-face interactions, and onsite assessments can be transitioned to remote and real-time data analytics. This transition will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of performance reviews, enabling the collaborative model proposed in this study.
